How KeepHawk plays fair
KeepHawk works when everyone in it wins: shoppers find the real deal, stores get real buyers, marketplaces get good listings, and nobody is tricked. These are the rules that keep it that way, and where each one lives in the product.
The law
Honest selling and honest advertising, wherever our users live.
- Every paid link is labelled where it appears, and the site says plainly how it earns money. Kept by the note on every store list and the footer on every page.
- Profits are labelled as estimates, with the fee sources and the date they were checked. Kept by the fee table and the note under every result.
- Payment cards are handled only by our payment provider; KeepHawk never sees or stores them, and never holds anyone’s money. Kept by Pro checkout.
- Passwords are kept only as salted hashes, and sign-in sessions only as hashes of their tokens. Kept by accounts.
Our partners’ terms
Stores and marketplaces share their data with us on their terms. We keep them, so they keep sharing.
- Prices come only from each partner’s official program, never by scraping or getting around a bot check. Kept by one source module per partner.
- eBay listings appear in their own list, never ranked among other stores, and say so when they are more than 6 hours old. Kept by the engine’s separate lists and freshness checks.
- eBay data is never used to estimate resale prices: the resale price is always your own. Kept by the margin module, which takes the price from you.
- KeepHawk lists for you only where a marketplace offers official tools, only after you sign in on that marketplace, and only after you confirm the item is in hand. Elsewhere it opens the listing form filled in, and you post it. Kept by Resell now.
- Every offer names its store and when it was checked, and links straight to the store. Kept by every result row.
- Item pictures come only from each partner’s official data and are shown from the partner’s own servers, never copied, edited or stored by us. Kept by every result row.
- Every offer shows its true condition and grade, and what it can honestly be resold as: an open-box buy is never presented as New. Kept by the condition module.
- No seller arbitrage on eBay: KeepHawk never reprices eBay listings from other sites’ prices, never orders sold items from other sites, never posts other sites’ tracking to eBay, and lists only items you already have in hand. Kept by Resell now (eBay API License Agreement).
- eBay listings are shown to everyone, free; Pro charges for KeepHawk’s own tools, never for eBay’s content. Kept by search and Pro.
- No eBay sales volume, sell-through or speed is ever shown against other marketplaces, and eBay’s restricted pricing and trend data is not used. Kept by the margin module and Where to sell.
The affiliate networks’ rules
Commissions only for real shoppers who chose to click.
- Store links are marked sponsored and nofollow, and open the store’s own page. Kept by every “Open at store” link.
- No cookie stuffing, pop-unders, hidden redirects or bought clicks: a commission comes only from a person who clicked. Kept by plain links, nothing else.
- No bidding on store trademarks and no posing as a store: KeepHawk never uses a store’s name or logo as its own. Kept by brand and marketing.
- Which offer comes first never depends on the commission: results are ranked by total cost or by profit, nothing else. Kept by the engine’s ranking.
Our users
The people who use KeepHawk own their data and their decisions.
