The short version: we keep only what the site needs to work for you, we don’t sell it, and you can take it or delete it any time.

What we keep

• Your account: your email, your password as a one-way hash (we can’t read it), your plan, and when you joined.
• If you sign in with Google: Google shares your name, email (and whether Google has verified it), profile photo address and an account id that lets us recognise you next time. We never see your Google password, and we ask for nothing else from your Google account. You can change the name shown on KeepHawk on your account page.
• What you save: the offers you save, with the price when you saved them and any resale price you entered.
• Your price alerts: the items you watch, the price you chose, and when we last emailed you about each. We check them once a day and email only when one hits. Remove any alert on your account page.
• If you join as a founding member: your answers to the signup questions (what you do, where you sell, how much, and anything you choose to tell us). Only the KeepHawk team sees them, and they go with your account if you delete it.
• One cookie that keeps you signed in. We store only a hash of it.
• Pro billing is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store card numbers.
• Linked marketplace accounts, when you link one: the permission that marketplace gives us, never your password for it.

Searches without an account aren’t tied to you. We don’t run ad trackers, and we don’t sell, rent or trade your data.

Who else sees anything

When you open a store link, you go to that store, which may set its own cookies and tell us a purchase happened (that’s how commissions work). On the way, KeepHawk counts that the store was opened: which store and item, which page it was on, and your plan type, never who you are or where you are. The link may carry a tag naming that page, so the store’s network can tell us which pages send buyers. Our hosting, email and payment providers process data only to run the service for us.

Your choices

• Download my data: everything we keep about you, in one file.
• Delete my account: it and everything tied to it, at once.
• Unlink a marketplace account any time.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

Data is sent over HTTPS. We keep your account until you delete it; a deleted account is removed from the live database at once, and from backups as they cycle out.
